Zaxis Architectural, PC is proud to be a design partner with ECMC on their Hyperbaric Wound Center. The 5,000sf Center features a capacity for four (4) Class B single occupancy hyperbaric oxygen chambers, treatment rooms and administrative areas.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves the delivery of 100% oxygen to the patient, which is pressurized. The therapy provides a safe treatment where the patient breathes the high concentration of oxygen which is delivered to the wound site via the blood stream to assist and increase healing by stimulating new blood vessels and tissue.
The therapy also has many benefits including the reduction of swelling, battling infection, improving circulation and the treatment of carbon monoxide poisoning.
